A Tajik delegation headed by Dr. Zabidullah Zabidov, the country’s ambassador to Kuwait, arrived at the Department of Foreign Relations (DFR) office in Qamishlo yesterday, Monday, July 25.

The two deputy co-chairs, Abeer Elia, Fanar Al-Kait, and Khaled Ibrahim, a member of the department’s administrative body, welcomed the delegation. They then reviewed a variety of files and topics about the area, including the situation in Syria’s north and east (NES).

The two sides conducted a joint press conference: “To speed up the delivery procedure, we have been collaborating with the State of Tajikistan for months. We spoke on various topics, including the general Syrian situation, risks facing the Autonomous Administration, and Turkish threats “. Fanar Al-Kaait, the co-chair, said.


I would like to convey my gratitude to the Autonomous Administration in the north and east of Syria (AANES) and all its institutions, security agencies, and all shareholders who helped to make the process and repatriation of our citizens today possible said Ambassador Zabidov.

According to a formal handover document between the AANES and Tajikistan, (104) children and (42) women from the families of the terrorist group ISIS were handed over after the conference.
